The VOICES Project hopes to build collaborative capacity with the Greenville Police Department (GPD) and other partner organizations and community residents to improve public safety!
The VOICES Project collaboration between the Bureau of Justice Assistance (BJA), Department of Justice (DOJ), WestEd’s Justice and Prevention Research Center (JPRC), and the Nicholtown Community Safety and Strategy Team (CSST) is dedicated to creating community engagement, buy-in, and local partnership to bring sustainable and impactful public services and community safety strategies to the Nicholtown neighborhood.
Vision
The CSST and WestEd are implementing the VOICES Project in Nicholtown to create a more cohesive and safe community. The VOICES Project will strive to be transparent with the community and include all voices, share and distribute data and information, build relationships across differences, and focus on the prevention of crime by redressing harms that have impacted the community.
Mission
To improve community safety for Nicholtown residents by addressing existing impediments to community empowerment and by supporting connections to necessary services and treatments.
Values
Collaborative leadership, community service, integrity, accountability, mutual respect and trust, and organizational-system collaboration.
